Policies & Terms and Conditions

Pets:

Service dogs are welcome on our transportation shuttle, providing assistance to individuals with disabilities. Please inform us in advance if you will be traveling with a service dog, allowing us to make appropriate seating arrangements.

Non-service dogs are allowed if they are small and comfortably fit in a lap-sized pet carrier without encroaching on neighboring seats.

All dogs must be well-behaved, trained, and under control at all times. Owners are responsible for their dog’s behavior and any damages caused.

We appreciate your cooperation in creating a comfortable and inclusive environment for all passengers.

Child safety seats:

By law in Alberta, children under the age of 6 who weigh 18 kg (40 lbs) or less must be in a child safety seat. Please contact us before you book so we can confirm child seat availability. A CAD 20,- fee applies for the use of our child seat to cover maintenance and sanitation costs. If a parent or guardian arrives with a child who requires a safety child seat without prior contact and confirmation of child seat availability, or without their own child seat, we regretfully cannot allow boarding. This policy ensures that we maintain the highest safety standards and comply with applicable regulations. We kindly request all parents or guardians to contact us in advance to confirm the availability of child seats or make necessary arrangements for their own child seats. Please note that in cases where boarding is denied due to non-compliance with our child safety seat policy, a refund will not be granted. Please also note that no child will be allowed to sit on a parent’s/guardian’s lap.

Cancellation:

Cancellations for scheduled shared shuttle services (Moraine Lake and Lake Louise shuttle) and Stargazing made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled pick-up time are non-refundable. No-shows or failure to cancel a reservation will result in no refund.

Cancellations for Private tours and private transfers bookable on our website (except Stargazing) made at least 7 full days prior to the scheduled pick-up time will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 full days of the scheduled pick-up time are non-refundable. No-shows or failure to cancel a reservation will result in no refund.
Private transfers and tours: a 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the reservation. The remaining balance must be paid in full 30 days prior to the service date. Failure to pay the balance by the specified deadline may result in cancellation of the reservation. Cancellations must be requested at least 30 days before the service date to qualify for any potential refunds (excluding the non-refundable deposit). No refunds will be provided for cancellations received within 30 days of the service date, and no-shows or failure to cancel a reservation will result in forfeiture of all payments already made.
Please note that the non-refundable deposit is necessary to secure resources and services in advance.

If you need to cancel your reservation, please contact us via email or phone. Our customer support team is available to assist with reservations, changes, cancellations, and any other inquiries. We may be able to offer alternative options for rescheduling or transferring your reservation to another date, depending on availability and circumstances.
Additionally, please be aware that this cancellation policy applies unless stated otherwise in a written agreement.

Changes to the reservation:

Changes to the reservation, such as pick-up or drop-off locations, date, or time, are subject to availability. Customers should inform us of any changes at least 24 hours in advance for Moraine Lake and Lake Louise shuttle, at least 7 days for private tours and transfers bookable on our website and at least 30 days for private transfers and private tours. Changes depend on availability and are not guaranteed.

Cancellation or changes by Canmore Travel Corp.:

Canmore Travel Corp. reserves the right to modify or cancel scheduled or charter services, should the need arise due to factors like insufficient bookings or unfavorable driving conditions, without any penalty. We strive to maintain our schedules but unforeseen circumstances such as traffic or weather conditions may cause delays. We will notify customers in case of schedule changes or delays. Please check your emails for any last minute logistics. In the event of a significant delay or cancellation, customers will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a refund.

Refunds:

Upon approval of a refund, we will return the funds to the original payment method used for the purchase. Please note that while we process the refund immediately, it may take 10-15 business days for the refunded amount to appear in your bank account, depending on your bank’s processing time. Ensure that the refund details provided are accurate to avoid any delays or issues with the refund process. We reserve the right to deny a refund request that does not comply with our terms and conditions or applicable refund policies. For any refund-related inquiries, please contact our customer support team.

On board safety:

Passengers must comply with all safety instructions and regulations provided by the shuttle company and its staff. Any disruptive or inappropriate behavior that may jeopardize the safety or comfort of other passengers or the driver may result in refusal of service.

For the safety and comfort of all passengers, we strictly prohibit the presence of alcohol, drugs, or any other substances on board our services. We want to ensure a pleasant and secure journey for everyone, and the use of such substances can compromise the safety and well-being of passengers and staff. Any individual found in possession of or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or other substances will be asked to disembark immediately. We reserve the right to exclude intoxicated persons from our services without providing a refund. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to this policy, as it helps us maintain a responsible and enjoyable environment for all passengers.

Note: We prioritize the safety and comfort of our passengers and staff. By adhering to this policy, we create a secure and pleasant travel experience for everyone.

Seat belt policy:

Passenger safety is our top priority. All passengers must fasten their seat belts securely before the vehicle moves. This policy applies to all seats in the vehicle, and seat belts should be properly adjusted and snugly fitted. Children should be secured in appropriate child safety seats or boosters as required. Keep seat belts fastened throughout the journey, even when the vehicle is stationary. Non-compliance may result in refusal of service with no refund. Thank you for cooperating and prioritizing safety during your travel with us.

Missed Bus Policy:

We have implemented a policy regarding missed buses to ensure compliance with legal regulations and prioritize the safety and efficiency of our operations. While we understand that unexpected situations can arise, we are unable to delay the departure of our buses for individual passengers due to the strict driving hour regulations imposed by the government.

Our drivers must strictly adhere to these regulations to maintain a high standard of safety for all passengers and to comply with legal requirements. Exceeding the permitted driving hours can have severe consequences, not only for our drivers but also for our company’s compliance with transportation regulations.

In the event that a passenger misses their bus, we will make every effort to accommodate them on the next available bus, provided there is space. However, during peak visiting seasons, availability on subsequent trips cannot be guaranteed due to high demand.

If all trips are fully booked or if it happens to be the last trip of the day, the passenger will be responsible for making their own arrangements to return to their hotel at their own expense. We recommend contacting a reliable taxi service, such as Three Sisters Taxi, for transportation assistance. It’s important to note that certain remote locations, such as Moraine Lake, may have limited or no cell phone service. However, nearby facilities, such as Moraine Lake Lodge, may be able to provide assistance.

We kindly request that all passengers adhere to the set departure times and return to the vehicle promptly. The departure time at the lakes is set by the driver on the spot. This ensures that our operations run smoothly, allowing us to provide a safe and efficient service to all passengers.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. By following these guidelines, we can maintain compliance with legal regulations and prioritize the safety and satisfaction of all our passengers.

Itineraries:

Itineraries are subject to various external factors, including traffic laws, changes in traffic patterns, and ongoing constructions. To ensure the safety and convenience of our customers, we reserve the right to modify itineraries as necessary. Itineraries provided by  Canmore Travel Corp. are designed to comply with local traffic laws and regulations. In cases where the original itinerary conflicts with any applicable traffic laws, we reserve the right to modify the route or make alternative arrangements to ensure compliance. Traffic patterns can be unpredictable, and congestion or other factors may affect the estimated duration of a journey. While we strive to create accurate itineraries based on available information, we reserve the right to make changes to itineraries to accommodate unexpected traffic conditions and optimize travel time. Construction projects and road closures can significantly impact travel routes. In such cases, we reserve the right to modify itineraries to avoid construction zones or choose alternative routes that provide safer and more efficient travel options.

Passenger/luggage configuration policy-Transfers:

Passengers are kindly requested to review the passenger/luggage configuration to ensure a comfortable fit for both themselves and their belongings. If you are not sure if your party and your luggage can fit in your desired vehicle, please get in touch with us before you book.

Upon arriving at the pick-up point, should the driver discover that there is more or larger luggage or additional persons than previously communicated, the service may not be able to accommodate the excess.

In such cases, no refund will be provided.

This policy is implemented to maintain the quality of service and ensure a safe and comfortable experience for all passengers.

Vehicle type policy:

Vehicle images on our site are for illustration purposes only. Actual vehicles for passenger transportation and tours may vary.

Promotional materials:
By joining a tour/transfer or any other service provided by Canmore Travel Corp., guests recognize and agree that video and photographs may be taken during the tour. These visuals may be utilized in promotional materials, including, but not limited to, social media.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
