PADDLE THE ROCKIES
Kayaking in the Canadian Rockies
Kayaking in Banff ranges from glassy glacier lakes to technical whitewater runs through mountain canyons. The right destination depends on your skill level and what kind of water you want under your hull. This guide covers the best kayaking spots in Banff National Park and the Canadian Rockies, including flatwater lakes for beginners, river runs for intermediates, and the Kicking Horse River for Class III–IV whitewater.
How Canmore Travel fits in:
We provide private shuttle transportation to kayaking destinations across the Canadian Rockies and BC Interior. We do not organize or guide the kayak trips themselves. We get you to the water from convenient pickup locations in Canmore, Harvie Heights, or Banff.
