A Parks Canada Pass is required for all guests to enter Banff National Park. It is not included in your tour price.


Summer 2026: Parks Canada has waived entry fees from June 19 to September 7. No pass purchase is required during this window.


Outside that window, purchase your pass online in advance at parks.canada.ca. Do not purchase at the gate. Our vehicle travels in a commercial lane that bypasses the gate queue, so there is no opportunity to buy on arrival.


We'll remind you of your pass requirement before your departure date.

What to Expect on the Private Extended Tour

A full day at Moraine Lake and Lake Louise exclusively for your group. Up to five hours at the lakes, divided exactly as your group wishes. One private guide and van from pickup to return. Here is how the private extended day unfolds.

Step 1: Pickup

On the day of your tour, your guide picks you up from your hotel or accommodation. Your private 14-passenger van is reserved exclusively for your group.

Step 2: Moraine Lake

Whether you'd like to visit the Rock Pile, rent a canoe, or hike Larch Valley (about 7 km return, ~400 m elevation gain), you decide how much of your time to spend at Moraine Lake.

Step 3: Lake Louise

Explore Lake Louise your way. Hike to the Lake Agnes Tea House, visit Fairview Lookout, rent a canoe, or relax by the lakeshore. Your group decides how to split its time between the two lakes.

  • How is the private Extended Time tour different from the group version?

    It is the same wonderful day at Moraine Lake and Lake Louise with time to hike, canoe, and watch for wildlife, but it is yours alone. You get a private vehicle, door-to-door pickup from your hotel or Airbnb, and the freedom to shape the day around your group's pace.

  • Can we customize the day?

    Absolutely, that is the whole idea of going private. Want extra time canoeing, a longer hike, or to chase the best light for photos? We build the day around what matters most to you.

  • Is canoeing included?

    Canoeing is a fantastic way to use your time at Moraine Lake, but the canoe rental is not included. It is arranged right at the lake and paid separately (roughly $160 CAD per hour), so bring a card if it is on your wish list.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    Cancellations for private tours and private transfers bookable on our website must be made at least 7 full days before the scheduled pick-up time to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of the scheduled pick-up time are non-refundable. No-shows or failure to cancel a reservation will result in no refund. Private transfers, private tours, multiday tours, and multiday transfers that are not bookable on our website require a 25% non-refundable lifetime deposit to secure the reservation. This deposit is transferable to family or friends. The remaining balance must be paid in full 30 days prior to the service date. Failure to pay the balance by the deadline may result in cancellation of the reservation.
