What You Will See
The Rockpile for the view across the Valley of the Ten Peaks, the shoreline, one of the nearby trails, or a canoe out on the water. Private vehicles are not permitted on Moraine Lake Road, so our access is what gets you here. How long you stay is your call.

Moraine Lake
The lakeshore walk, the Chateau, canoe rental, or the hike up to the Lake Agnes Teahouse, one of the best-loved trails in the area. With five hours across both lakes, Lake Agnes is actually achievable here rather than something you read about afterward.

Lake Louise
The route to and from the lakes runs through a wildlife corridor and natural habitat. Bears, elk, deer, wolves, and cougars move through this country. Sightings are never guaranteed, but nature often obliges and we see animals on many tours.

What You Need to Know Before You Book
How long is the tour, and how much of it is at the lakes?
Plan on 8.5 to 9 hours door to door, with up to five hours of that at the lakes. You choose how to split those five hours between Moraine Lake and Lake Louise. We suggest a start between 8:00 and 9:00 AM to make the most of the day, though your departure time is flexible.
Can we hike to the Lake Agnes Teahouse, and does the guide come along?
Yes, the five hours at the lakes leaves room for it. Your guide does not accompany guests on hikes, but they know these trails well and will happily point you to the right route and set expectations on timing. If you plan to hike, bring proper footwear and bear spray.
Is canoe rental included?
No. Canoe rental is not included in the tour price and operates first come, first served at the lakes. There is time in the day for it if the queue cooperates. Your guide can advise on the best window to head over.
Is the Moraine Lake access fee included?
Yes. Moraine Lake access is included in the tour price. Private vehicles are no longer permitted on Moraine Lake Road, so guided transport is the practical way in. Our access covers your group's entry, with nothing extra to pay on the day.
Do we need a Parks Canada pass?
Yes. Every guest needs a valid Parks Canada pass to enter Banff National Park, and it is not included in the tour price. Please purchase online in advance at parks.canada.ca. If you are staying in Banff, you already need one.
