What You Will See
Your first stop, and the reason most people come. Walk up to the Rockpile for the view across the Valley of the Ten Peaks, follow the lakeshore, or rent a canoe. Private vehicles are not permitted on Moraine Lake Road, so our commercial access is what gets you here.

Then on to Lake Louise. Stroll the lakeshore, take in the historic Fairmont Chateau, look up at Victoria Glacier at the far end of the water, or rent a canoe. You decide how much of your three hours goes to each lake.

The route to and from the lakes follows the Bow Valley Parkway, a wildlife corridor and natural habitat. Bears, elk, deer, wolves, and cougars all move through this country, and mountain goats work the cliffsides. Sightings are never guaranteed, but they happen often.

There is a reason we suggest an early start. In the morning the turquoise reads at its most vivid, the water is usually still, and both lakes are quieter than they will be by midday. We recommend leaving between 8:00 and 9:00 AM.

What You Need to Know Before You Book
How long is the private Morning tour?
Plan on 6 to 6.5 hours door to door, with up to three hours of that at the lakes. You choose how to divide those three hours between Moraine Lake and Lake Louise. Additional hours can be added at checkout if your group wants a longer day.
What time does the tour start?
Your departure time is flexible, so tell us what works for your group. We recommend leaving between 8:00 and 9:00 AM, which puts you at the lakes while the light is best and before the busiest part of the day. Pickup is confirmed with you after booking.
Is the Moraine Lake access fee included?
Yes. Moraine Lake access is included in the tour price. Private vehicles are no longer permitted on Moraine Lake Road, so guided transport is the practical way in. Our commercial access covers your group's entry, with no additional access fee to pay on the day.
Do we need a Parks Canada pass?
Yes. Every guest needs a valid Parks Canada pass to enter Banff National Park, and it is not included in the tour price. Please purchase online in advance at parks.canada.ca. If you are staying in Banff you already need one.
Do you provide child safety seats?
Children under 6 who weigh 18 kg (40 lb) or less must travel in a child safety seat. We encourage you to bring your own. If you need to use ours, please contact us before booking to confirm availability, as a CAD $40 fee applies. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations made at least 7 full days before your scheduled pickup receive a full refund. Cancellations inside 7 days are non-refundable, and no-shows or a failure to cancel receive no refund.
