Banff and Bow Valley
Banff National Park is the only ski destination in the world inside a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sunshine Village and Norquay, along with Lake Louise, form the SkiBig3 multi-resort pass territory and all three are within 60 minutes of Canmore by private shuttle.
Canada's highest base elevation ski resort, Sunshine Village spans three mountains and 3,300 acres inside Banff National Park. Its high-alpine position delivers consistently cold, dry powder from November to May, one of the longest seasons on the continent. Sunshine Village is a SkiBig3 pass destination.

Sunshine Village
Norquay sits just minutes from downtown Banff and is the only resort in the Banff area with night skiing. With 60 runs across 190 acres, it suits every ability level. Its relaxed, uncrowded atmosphere makes it ideal for a half-day on the slopes or an evening run under the lights. Part of the SkiBig3 pass.

Lake Louise and Kananaskis
Alberta's largest ski resort and the site of the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics, two very different resort experiences within an hour of Canmore.
One of the largest ski areas in North America, directly across the valley from the lake itself, with terrain for every level and views that make the chairlift ride part of the experience. We provide winter transfers from Canmore, Harvie Heights, and Banff so you skip the icy early morning drive and the parking lot.

Marmot Basin offers the uncrowded mountain experience that Banff-area resorts rarely match in peak season. Canmore Travel can arrange the full-day Icefields Parkway route to Jasper.
Jasper's only ski resort offers 1,700 acres of varied terrain and 91 runs inside one of Canada's most spectacular national parks. Marmot Basin is consistently less crowded than Banff-area resorts, with a December to April season and intermediate terrain that experienced skiers describe as the hidden gem of the Canadian Rockies.

British Columbia
The BC Rockies are where serious skiers go for big vertical and deep powder. Kicking Horse and Fernie are both within transfer range of Canmore farther than the Banff resorts, but a different calibre of terrain entirely.
Set above the town of Golden, Kicking Horse features 2,800 acres of steep terrain and one of the greatest vertical drops in North America at 1,260 metres (4,133 feet). Advanced skiers and snowboarders consistently rank it among the top resorts in Canada, with heli-skiing access available directly from the mountain.
