Banff Night Adventure

Want to experience the magic of a night in the mountains but feel uneasy about going alone? Join our experienced guides and let them handle everything for you! Enjoy a two-hour journey under the enchanting skies of Banff National Park, featuring incredible nighttime views and, when conditions are right, stars and celestial bodies. Our tour includes convenient pick-up and drop-off at your hotel, transportation to our secret dark spots, use of a telescope for exploring the sky, comfortable chairs, and inflatable portable loungers (they’re a lot of fun!). We’ll keep you warm with delightful hot chocolate, tea, and cozy blankets. We provide headlamps to light the way. And who knows, if luck is on our side, we might even catch a surprise visit from the fabulous Miss Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) to top off our adventure!

Frequently Asked Questions

What You Need to Know Before You Book

  • How long is the Banff Night Adventure?

The tour runs approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours, timed for optimal darkness.

  • Will I see the Northern Lights?

Stars and Aurora Borealis are never guaranteed. Aurora activity depends on solar conditions and cloud cover. Our guides monitor forecasts and choose locations for the best chance, but every night sky is different.

  • What if the weather is bad?

This tour runs under a variety of weather conditions. In the event of unfavorable weather, we will reschedule or provide a full refund.

  • What should I wear?

Dress warmly in layers. Mountain nights are cold year-round, even in summer. We provide blankets for extra warmth, but a warm jacket, hat, and gloves are recommended.

  • Where does the tour pick up?

We offer door-to-door pickup and drop-off from accommodations in Canmore, Harvie Heights, and Banff.
